X to Provide Financial Aid for Unjustly Treated Employees

Financial Aid

BNR – The renowned billionaire, Musk, has stated that X, previously “Twitter,” will provide financial aid for anyone treated unjustly by their boss. This affects the employees who are subject to unfair treatment from their bosses for interacting on the platform.

Financial Aid with ‘No Limits’

Elon Musk announced on Sunday that the financial aid from X will have “no limits.”

Additionally, he required users to contact the platform if they had suffered from such experiences for liking, posting or reposting.

The social media platform X was formerly known as “Twitter” and got rebranded last month.

Platform X Takes Stand on Free Speech

Elon Musk is a self-made free-speech champion. Before the acquisition, he criticised Twitter’s bylaws on content moderation several times.

When the billionaire revealed that he was buying Twitter in April 2022, he stated that free speech is the foundation of an operational democracy. “Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” he said.

Lately, the company that owns Twitter revealed that it filed a lawsuit against an anti-hate group, which rebuked the platform.

The Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) conducted a study that revealed hate and misinformation are prevalent on the platform. “[S]preading like wildfire on the platform under Musk’s ownership,” they stated.

X Corp said that CCDH committed an illegal action by wrongfully gaining access to the platform’s data.
