Qatar National Bank, Investment Holding cooperate in tourism sector

Doha, (Business News Report)|| Qatar National Bank and Investment Holding Group have agreed to develop the tourism sector by developing the Doha Winter Wonderland entertainment city.

The contract was signed between Qatar Bank and Investment Holding Group, in a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Lusail City, Qatar.

The city of Doha, Winter Wonderland, is considered a quantum leap in the tourism and entertainment sector in the State of Qatar, and is expected to receive more than 1.5 million visitors annually.

The agreement was signed by Mrs. Heba Ali Al-Tamimi, General Manager of Communications for the Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group and Mr. Henrik Christiansen, CEO of Investment Holding Group, in the presence of Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, CEO, and Mr. Moataz Al-Khayat, Chairman of Istithmar Holding Group LLC Q.P.S.C, along with a group of executive leaders in the two companies.

Under the agreement, QNB will become one of the main sponsors of the Doha Winter Wonderland.

Last week, Investment Holding Group announced the details of the Al Maha Island project – the latest tourist and entertainment destination in Qatar – which includes the Doha Winter Wonderland as the most important tourist attraction of Al Maha Island.

The Investment Holding Group Q.P.S.C and IMG International, in cooperation with Qatar Tourism and Qatari Diar, are participating in the implementation of this project.

Doha Winter Wonderland will be operated by IMG, a global leader in global events, shows and entertainment destinations, and will operate the iconic Winter Wonderland theme park in London’s Hyde Park.

The Winter Wonderland covers an area of ​​93,000 square meters and contains 50 different games, including 10 for lovers of adventure and excitement, a roller coaster, 25 for families, and 15 for children, in addition to a giant spinning wheel, which offers entertainment experiences for all groups and ages.

On this occasion, Mr. Abdullah Mubarak Al Khalifa, CEO of QNB Group, said: “We are proud to be a prominent part of major tourism projects in the country, in support of Qatar’s national strategy for the tourism sector within Qatar Vision 2030.”

Doha Winter Wonderland is also one of the most important tourist destinations that are operated by reputable international companies in the field of entertainment, which contributes significantly to attracting tourists and improving the tourism and entertainment experience in Qatar.
