Sebi allows exchanges to launch commodity indices futures

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday..

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday allowed stock exchanges to introduce commodity indices futures.

Market regulator in a release said that the stock exchanges with commodity derivative segment willing to start trading in futures on commodity indices shall take prior approval of Sebi for launching such contracts.
