Huawei is being unfairly targeted and has nothing to do with the Chinese government, Chinas ambassador to the U.K. said today.
The comments come after senior Conservative MPs wrote a letter asking for the British authorities to “rule out hi-tech from untrusted, high-risk vendors” in the countrys 5G infrastructure or introduce “sunset clauses” to limit the involvement of such vendors.
Ambassador Liu Xiaoming rejected the letters concerns.
“I think what they are doing is a kind of a witch hunt,” he said on the BBCs “Andrew Marr Show.”
