CHAOS: David Icke claims the shambles is a deliberate ploy (Pic: GETTY – PA)
Theresa May stalled a Parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal this week and has gone back to the EU to beg for more concessions, which triggered a no-confidence vote from her unruly backbenchers.
Moves for a “peoples vote”, which many claim is a bid for a second referendum, is gaining mass support and could be more likely if Theresa Mays deal is voted down.
But conspiracy theorist David Icke says this scenario has deliberately been engineered to overturn Brexit, which he dubs the “totalitarian tip-toe”.
The reason being is because the EU is making it difficult for the UK to leave to deter other states from leaving the bloc and also because Britains political class does not want Brexit to happen.

Speaking to Daily Star Online, he said: “When you look at the history of the EU, every time there has been anyone going against the EUs aims, whether its France and Holland voting against the European Constitution, or Ireland against the Lisbon treaty, they are made to vote again until they get the right result.
“Even when you look at the original vote in 1975 on, what was then known as, the European Economic Community membership, the public were lied to and they were told it was just a trade deal.
“But this is a project that stretches back to the 1920s and the main goal has always been to create a European superstate.
“But do you think that if people in the 40s after the war were told that there was going to be a European superstate they would accept it?

“No, of course not. Theyd say weve just had a war to fight against centralisation of big government.
“So it happens in steps, little bits at a time. Its what I call the totalitarian tip-toe.”
Speaking about UKIPs recent decision to appoint former EDL leader Tommy Robinson as an advisor, Mr Icke said this is also part of the ploy to discredit the Brexit cause.
When looking at the billionaire backers to both the pro-Remain and pro-Leave cause, they are working for the same ends, the theorist added.

He claimed: “Put it this way. If you want to control the outcome of a football match then you need to control both teams and the referee.
“Thats whats going on at the moment. On the one hand you have all these so-called left-wing people campaigning to stay in the EU on behalf of big business.
“Then on the other side you have the same network of big business funnelling money to people like Tommy Robinson.
“So superficially it looks like people are on different sides, but behind the scenes it is the same people pulling the strings for their own ends.
DISCREDIT: The recent moves by UKIP is to make 'people associate Brexit with racism' (Pic: PA)
“Tommy Robinson is essentially a way of making people associate the Brexit cause with racism to discredit it.”
Mr Icke also made it clear that it is the political class who caused the circumstances for the Brexit vote because they had stopped being the servants of the people.
He claims that across Europe there is a growing sense of discontentment with the way in which governments operate and the erosion of democracy.
The theorist concluded: “You dont actually need a lot of people to orchestrate all of this, it just depends on who controls the media and what is said into the microphones.
“Youve got people like Tony Blair arguing for us to remain in the EU and he is the same man who lied about weapons of mass destruction to take us into a war with Iraq.
“It is the political class who are starting to try and make people scared of the rise in nationalism across Europe, but they are the ones who created the conditions for this revolt we are seeing against the establishment because of their policies.
“But let me tell you, Ive been travelling all over the country and there is a majority of people who are not represented in Westminster and who are waking up to what is really going on.”
