Black Friday and Cyber Monday officially kick off the holiday shopping season, which makes now the perfect time to buy an iPhone. The first iPhones deals are already live, and promotions should ramp up through Nov. 26.
These two huge sales days in the US mean deep discounts for iPhones of every stripe, from iPhone XR, XS and XS Max all the way to the diminutive iPhone SE and older models. There truly is a deal for everyone, with more arriving as we get closer to the big events.
Sales take the form of up to hundreds of dollars off top models, two years of carrier bill credits, and additional gift cards that you can use to buy other gifts for loved ones or yourself (we won't tell). Also see Black Friday sales for the Pixel 3, Galaxy Note and Galaxy S9 phones and deals for the excellent OnePlus 6T and top LG models.
Just so you know:
- The deals below are current as of Nov. 17, and include Verizon, T-Mobile, Target, Amazon, Best Buy and US Cellular. We'll update with more deals as they appear.
- CNET may get a share of revenue from the sale of the products featured on this page.
- We link to the current listing at the retailer's website when one is available, but you may not see sale pricing reflected on the page until the sale begins.
Verizon: Buy one iPhone, get an iPhone XR or take up to $750 off any iPhone 'X'
Verizon gives iPhone buyers two options. First, you can buy any new iPhone with an X in the name (on a new line of service) and get a free iPhone XR. Or, you could open a new line of service and get $750 off an iPhone X, iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.
You'll see your savings in monthly bill credits spread out over 24 months.
The offer is open now.

T-Mobile: Free iPhones or up to $750 off select models
Sarah Tew/CNET
T-Mobile is offering you a free iPhone XR, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus, or up to $750 off the iPhone X, XS or XS Max. That's when you trade in your old phone and add an additional line of service to what you already pay. For example, if you already have one phone line, this deal works when you add a second line — but not if you're trying to buy a new phone on your existing line of service.
The savings come in the form of bill credits over a 24-month period. T-Mobile's offer is available now. Read more about T-Mobile's full Black Friday deal here.
