There are many rumors circulating about the launch date of Apple’s new devices for 2022, especially augmented reality glasses.
If the experts’ predictions come true, 2022 is the year when Apple will finally introduce its own augmented reality glasses.
According to a report published by the 9to5mac, which specializes in Apple product news, the new glasses, which will be called AR/VR, may reach the market in the last quarter of 2022.
The shipment of reserved copies of these advanced glasses will begin by the first quarter of 2023.
In a related context, the technical expert, Ming-Chi Kuo, indicated that Apple was expecting delays in the launch of these new glasses, for several known crises, including the pandemic, and chips.
Although the exact release date is unknown, predictions are for the end of 2022 and orders will start in November or December.
In other reports, the 9to5Mac website predicts that the headset for Apple’s augmented reality glasses may arrive in conjunction with the arrival of the glasses, and the total cost of them together may reach $3000.
Revenue and promotions
The iPhone ranks as Apple’s flagship product, accounting for about half of its $365.8 billion in revenue over the past fiscal year, and rolling out the upgrades is a delicate matter.
when the iPhone 13 was released, Apple and wireless carriers launched aggressive discount programs to incentivize purchases, and in some cases, owners of iPhone 12 or older models were able to purchase an iPhone 13 at little or no cost.
Although discount programs are still available, some offer much lower savings than when new models first went on sale.
During Apple’s most recent earnings call in October, CEO Tim Cook said demand for new products was very strong. It was driven by interest in the latest iPhones, iPads, and other devices, and that the company was on track. It achieved a record quarter during the holiday, with sales of $111.4 billion in the same period last year.
