General Insurance Corporation of India, GTL Infrastructure, Indian Overseas Bank, Max Financial Services, Transwarranty Finance and Value Industries were also among the stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE.
On the other hand, over 10 stocks including Bajaj Electricals, Jindal Worldwide, Mask Investments, Rane Holdings, Sundram Fasteners and Zenith Birla (India) hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE in Wednesday's trade.
Weak global cues and selling in bank, financial, auto and metal stocks were keeping the bourses in the red.
Investors' sentiments remained negative on weak trend in other Asian markets following a drop in Wall Street as US President Donald Trump replaced his secretary of state, and plans to impose new tariffs on China.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 41 points down at 10,386, while the BSE Sensex was down 126 points at 33,731 around 10:55 am (IST).
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.
Tech Mahindra (up 1.73 per cent), UltraTech Cement (up 1.59 per cent), Ambuja Cements (up 1.24 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 1.13 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 0.71 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
However, Bharti Infratel (down 1.63 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.51 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.38 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 1.35 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (down 1.33 per cent) were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
