Domestic equity markets moved between positive and negative territory throughout the day before ending on a flat note.

Dalal Street turned cautious ahead of Karnataka election results due on Tuesday.

Sensex added nearly 21 points to 35,557, while Nifty closed almost unchanged at 10,807.

As many as 28 stocks in the Nifty pack closed in the red with Titan falling the most, followed by Zee and Tata Motors.

Dena Bank slipped nearly 6 per cent after the Reserve Bank of India restricted the bank from giving fresh credit.

Over 200 stocks on the NSE scaled their fresh 52-week low in Mondays trade, whereas 16 hit fresh 52-week highs.

Tata Global witnessed the biggest spurt in open interest, followed by Sun TV, Adani Ports and PC Jeweller.
