It was a see-sawing market throughout the day, which settled with losses, reversing its nine days of gains.

In effect, it also brought to an end the longest winning stretch for the Sensex and the Nifty since September 2014.

The Sensex closed 0.18 per cent down at 34,332. For Nifty, the closing came at 10,526, a loss of 0.21 per cent.

The breather came as fag-end selling pulled the benchmark indices down.

The selling pressure saw 19 Sensex stocks end up as losers while only 11 climbed.

Axis Bank sank the most by 3 per cent, followed by M&M and IndusInd Bank.

Let's listen in to what Hitesh Agrawal of Religare Securities has to say on fundamentals.
