NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.33 per cent up at 331 around 01:50 pm (IST) on Thursday, backed by robust gains in Shares of Unitech (up 12.77 per cent).
Shares of Unitech surged after a special CBI court in Delhi acquitted all the accused in the 2G scam case. Unitech MD Sanjay Chandra was one of the accused in the scam.
Shares of Housing Development & Infrastructure (up 1.52 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.15 per cent) were also trading up.
However, Delta Corp (down 1.57 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.13 per cent), Sobha (down 0.84 per cent), DLF (down 0.77 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.61 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 0.31 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (down 0.31 per cent) were trading down in the Nifty Realty index around that time.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 5 points down at 10439, while the BSE Sensex was 39 points down at 33,738.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco, HCL Tech, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp and NTPC were among the top gainers.
However, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Hindustan Unilever, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharti Airtel were among the losers of the Nifty50 index.
