NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks such as Axis Bank (down 1.33 per cent), Federal Bank (down 0.37 per cent), YES Bank (down 0.35 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.30 per cent) were trading down in afternoon trade on Thursday.
The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.30 per cent down at 14,088 around 02:05 pm (IST).
IDFC Bank (up 1.77 per cent) and RBL Bank (up 0.29 per cent) were the two stocks that were trading in the green in the Nifty Private Bank index around that time.
Shares of Punjab National Bank, Idea Cellular, Hindalco, Steel Authority of India, State Bank of India and Bharat Heavy Electricals were among the most traded stocks on NSE.
In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro, HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp and NTPC were among the top gainers.
However, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki India, Hindustan Unilever, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bajaj Finance were among the top losers.
