Biden Wins Massachusetts, Defeating Elizabeth Warren in Her Home State

Former Vice President Joe Biden trumped Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in her home state on Super Tuesday, part of his recent string of wins.

Biden, 77, had 448,225, or 33.6 percent, of the votes, as of Wednesday morning, according to the Associated Press. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), 78, had 355,581, or 26.7 percent, of the votes.

Warren, 70, managed only 282,037, or 21.2 percent, of the votes.

At that count, Biden earned 34 delegates to Sanderss 26 and Warrens 17.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, 78, was fourth with about 12 percent of the votes. He earned no delegates. Bloomberg ended his campaign on Wednesday.

Warren has won no states in 2020 primary, including none on Super Tuesday. She finished no better than third in any state on March 3, with third place finishes in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Virginia.

Warren now has 51 delegates to Sanderss 392 and Bidens 467, according to one tracker.
