NEW DELHI: Oil & gas stocks Petronet LNG (up 3.02 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 2.82 per cent), Indraprastha Gas (up 2.61 per cent), Castrol India (up 1.24 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 0.73 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.08 per cent) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.05 per cent) were trading up in Monday's trade.
The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.49 per cent up at 16,370 around 11:05 am (IST).
However, Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.16 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 0.59 per cent) and Oil India (down 0.46 per cent) were trading down around that time.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 91 points up at 10,424, while the BSE Sensex was 287 points up at 33,750.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and Maruti Suzuki were seen catching investors' attention.
On the other hand, Power Grid, Wipro, NTPC and ITC were experiencing selling pressure.
