BNR – Tesla, the renowned US automaker, unveiled its newly redesigned Model 3 sedan in a vibrant flame-red hue.

The showcase was public at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing. This unveiling came just a day after the car’s global launch in several countries.

The new model represents the first substantial modification to Tesla’s mass-market vehicle line-up since the release of the Model Y.

Increasing Reliance on the Chinese Market

The decision to reveal this revamped model in China before the US signifies an increasing reliance on the Chinese market.

Manufactured at Tesla’s Shanghai facility, Model 3 will be shipped to various markets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Model 3 Enhanced Features

Additionally, some of Model 3 enhanced features appear to be tailored to the preferences of Chinese consumers. One of the features is the rear display for passengers in the back seat.

Tesla’s sales representatives engaged with prospective buyers at the trade fair, addressing inquiries and providing insights into the vehicle’s capabilities.

A 22-year-old university student, Guo, who attended the event, expressed his interest in the Model 3’s debut.

He particularly appreciated the upgrades to the car’s audio system and the rear display. Guo also believes that this upgrade will make journeys more enjoyable for passengers in the rear seats.

However, not all visitors were swayed. Hu, who visited the Tesla booth, noted that the Model 3 was impressive, but not compelling enough to make a purchase. Hu cited the growing availability of new energy vehicles as a primary reason.

Tesla plans to present the model at the Munich auto show, further expanding its reach and influence in the market.
