The Saudi National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO) said that the new price includes value-added tax, as an additional amount of 1.6 riyals was added.
GASCO said that the new gas prices do not include transportation fees from distribution stations to outlets.
The price of a liter to fill the used tank was also raised to 0.9 riyals, including value-added tax, after the prices were previously 0.828 riyals, an increase of 8.7%, and the price of a liter increased by 0.072 riyals, according to the Saudi newspaper Okaz.
In the main cities where there is a gas distributor, such as Jeddah, the final prices for consumers amounted to 18.85 riyals, and in Mecca, the prices amounted to 20 riyals, an increase of 1.15 riyals, the cost of transportation, including 1 riyal for transportation per gas cylinder and the tax of 0.15 riyals.
In Yanbu, the prices amounted to 21.5 riyals, and the price of refilling gas in some outlets reached 24 riyals, according to the same newspaper.
Saudi Aramco had announced that the implementation of the price adjustment for liquefied petroleum gas and kerosene products, starting from June 11, 2022.
It indicated that station owners and consumers can follow up on the update of prices through its website.
It should be noted that the domestic prices of liquefied petroleum gas and kerosene products will be reviewed annually in accordance with the governance procedures for adjusting the prices of energy and water products.
