OilPrice expects the Qatari gas to become the most valuable to the world
Qatar’s expansion of its gas production will make the Qatari gas the best in the world. A Qatari project will raise the annual production from 77 to 110 million tons – an increase of 40%.
The project will cost $28.75 billion and will be operational by 2025. The Northeast Field project will have lower carbon emissions than LNG produced without a CCS system.
OilPrice said Qatar wants to dominate the fast-growing gas market. Qatar is the third largest exporter of natural gas as its reserves amount to about 15% of the gas in the world.
