Woman reunited with her deaf dog five years after he went missing

A woman and her deaf Jack Russell terrier have been reunited after the dog went missing five hears ago.

Janece Parsons 16-year-old dog, Army, was found through his implanted microchip in Elizabethtown, Kentucky – and the two look overjoyed to see each other.

Parsons said she lost two of her dogs as she was visiting a home in Upton and she said she believes they were frightened by a shooting range nearby.

Although she has not found her other dog, Leia, Parsons said she is happy to welcome Army back into her home.

On Tuesday, she picked her long-lost pooch from the Hardin County Animal Shelter, who posted photos of the reunion online.

Parsons wrote on Facebook: Hes now home and asleep after a long 5 years…Hes deaf and has arthritis but thats ok. Hes back in his loving home.
