NEW DELHI: IT stocks Infibeam Incorporation (up 1.72 per cent), Tech Mahindra (up 1.33 per cent), Tata Elxsi (up 1.10 per cent), KPIT Technologies (up 0.84 per cent) and HCL Technologies (up 0.26 per cent) were trading in the positive territory during afternoon trade on Wednesday.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.18 per cent up at 13,585 around 01:35 pm.
However, Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.34 per cent), Wipro (down 0.48 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.14 per cent) were down around the same time.
Shares of Mindtree (up 0.05 per cent) and Infosys (down 0.02 per cent) were almost flat.
Fluctuating rupee against the US dollar has hit most IT stocks in recent time.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex moved up by 12 points to 34,962 on gains in Mahindra & Mahindra, Coal India, Kotak Mahindra Bank and YES Bank.
The NSE Nifty50 index was down 4 points at 10,629.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
