The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Tuesday allowed stock exchanges to introduce commodity indices futures.
Market regulator in a release said that the stock exchanges with commodity derivative segment willing to start trading in futures on commodity indices shall take prior approval of Sebi for launching such contracts.
