School principal quits after he was arrested at strip club during field trip
A Catholic school principal has resigned following his arrest at a strip club during a class field trip.
Michael Comeau, 47, was arrested early Friday morning after he drunkenly refused to pay his tab at Archibalds Gentlemans Club in Washington DC, according to police reports.
Comeau, who was the principal of Holy Family Catholic School in Louisiana, had been on a trip with his students and adult chaperones.
He reportedly left a hotel where the students and chaperones were staying – and took his service dog to the strip club.
Police responded to the club shortly after 2 AM after receiving a call about an intoxicated man refusing to pay his bill, WAFB reported.
When officers arrived, they allegedly found Comeau, who was observed standing in the roadway, refusing to move, police wrote.
Authorities asked Comeau multiple times to move out of the roadway, but Comeau refused.
He was subsequently arrested for public intoxication and possession of an open container of alcohol. Witnesses reportedly told WAFB that Comeau brought his service dog to the bar.
Later that day, Comeau resigned from the school
