This is Swati Verma and I will offer a snapshot of today’s trading on Dalal Street and bring you cues and tips from market veterans for sessions ahead.
The market pulled back in the last hour of trading, but struggled to keep its head above water.
The 30-share Sensex ended with a marginal loss of 21 points at 33,836. Similarly, the NSE Nifty closed just 16 points lower at 10,411.
On the Nifty heat map, 30 scrips fell and 20 rose.
Banking stocks gained much ground as RBI scrapped LoUs — which are at the centre of the alleged PNB fraud — seen as a positive move.
A weak international market following the exit of US secretary of state amid talk of likely tariffs on China remains an overhang.

Indian Oil saw the maximum jump in open interest at 23.24 per cent. Colgate Palmolive (India) stood second at 21.47 per cent and KPIT Technologies third at 20.99 per cent.
