The bulls took full control on Dalal Street on Monday with Nifty climbing around 200 points, while Sensex gaining more than 600 points.

Short-coverings and firm global cues drove the market higher. However, midcaps did not participate much in the party.

Telecom major Bharti Airtel today got board's approval to raise up to a whopping Rs 16,500 crore funds through a mix of privately placed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) and a foreign currency bonds float for conducting treasury operations, including refinancing of debt and spectrum liabilities. Shares of the company shut shop at Rs 421 apiece, up 4.68 per cent.

Some news channels reported Infosys has announced its intent to voluntarily delist from Euronext Paris and Euronext London exchanges. The stock settled 2 per cent higher at Rs 1,186 apiece on BSE.
