The result will not be known today, the company said. Shares closed 0.2 per cent lower.<\/p>\n<p>Inmarsat shares closed down 5.7 per cent after the company rejected a second bid from EchoStar. But the takeover attempts are not over yet, with EchoStar asking for an extension to the current deadline so it can put forward another offer. <\/p>\n<p>ITV was having fun in the sun today, and not just because the current series of Love Island has drawn the biggest ever audience numbers to secondary channel ITV2.<\/p>\n<p>Shares in the broadcaster led the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityam.com\/ftse-100\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">FTSE 100<\/a> risers, closing up 4.2 per cent after Societe Generale upgraded the stock to buy from sell.<\/p>\n<p>Over on the junior market, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityam.com\/288847\/fairfxs-share-price-jumps-15-per-cent-currency-exchange\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">FairFX&#039;s share price jumped, pushing it above a \u00a3200m market cap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But the biggest riser was PipeHawk, which had climbed a whopping 156 per cent by the close <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityam.com\/288855\/share-price-aim-listed-pipehawk-more-than-doubles-after\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">after it announced a major contract win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blockads.fivefilters.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blockads.fivefilters.org\/acceptable.html\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FTSE staged a last minute recovery this afternoon after ..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":84835,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[202],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-84834","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-finance"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
