NEW DELHI: The BSE Realty index finished Monday's trade as the top loser among the sectoral indices. <\/p>\n

The index settled 72 points, or 3.25 per cent, down at 2139 on Monday, with all components in the red. <\/p>\n

Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) remained the top loser in the index, falling 6.70 per cent. <\/p>\n

It was followed by Indiabulls Real Estate<\/a> that plunged 4.58 per cent. <\/p>\n

Shares of Phoenix Mills (down 4.49 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects<\/a> (down 4.13 per cent) and DLF (down 3.79 per cent) also appeared among the top losers of the index. <\/p>\n

Unitech<\/a> (down 3.39 per cent), Godrej Properties<\/a> (down 2.38 per cent) and Sobha (down 2.09 per cent) also suffered significant losses. <\/p>\n

Indian equity benchmarks extended losses to the second session on Monday due to losses in bank, FMCG, financial, telecom and capital goods stocks even as global cues were mostly positive. <\/p>\n

The BSE Sensex took a downward plunge of 215 points, or 0.61 per cent, to settle at 35,012, while the Nifty index tanked 68 points, or 0.63 per cent, to finish Monday's session at 10,629. <\/p>\n

In the Nifty index, 15 stocks managed to close the day with gains, while 35 remained in the negative zone. <\/p>\n

The Sensex saw 7 stocks advancing, while 24 declining at the end of Monday's trade. <\/p>\n

HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Adani Ports remained the top losers in the Sensex index. <\/p>\n
