{"id":77829,"date":"2018-05-14T13:40:40","date_gmt":"2018-05-14T13:40:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/nifty-pharma-breaks-6-day-losing-streak-dr-reddys-labs-cipla-climb-1\/"},"modified":"2018-05-14T13:40:40","modified_gmt":"2018-05-14T13:40:40","slug":"nifty-pharma-breaks-6-day-losing-streak-dr-reddys-labs-cipla-climb-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/nifty-pharma-breaks-6-day-losing-streak-dr-reddys-labs-cipla-climb-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Nifty Pharma breaks 6-day losing streak; Dr. Reddy&#8217;s Labs, Cipla climb 1%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index broke its six-day losing streak on Monday, backed by gains in <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Dr.-Reddy&#039;s-Laboratories\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Reddy&#039;s Laboratories<\/a> (up 1.23 per cent) and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/cipla-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-13917.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Cipla<\/a> (up 0.89 per cent). <\/p>\n<p>The Nifty Pharma index settled 0.19 per cent up at 8,462. <\/p>\n<p>Shares of Biocon (up 0.36 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.20 per cent) pocketed mild gains, while <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/lupin-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-10743.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Lupin<\/a> (up 0.07 per cent) and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/aurobindo-pharma-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-8279.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Aurobindo Pharma<\/a> (up 0.03 per cent) closed the day flat.  <\/p>\n<p>Divi&#039;s Laboratories (down 3.38 per cent) and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/glenmark-pharmaceuticals-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-4255.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Glenmark Pharmaceuticals<\/a> (down 2.63 per cent) suffered heavy losses. <\/p>\n<p>Cadila Healthcare (down 0.29 per cent) and Piramal Enterprises (down 0.20 per cent) also settled in the red. <\/p>\n<p>The Sensex index closed at 35,557, up by 21 points. Overall, 16 stocks closed the day in the green, while 15 in the red in the index.  <\/p>\n<p>The Nifty50 settled flat at 10,807, with 22 stocks advancing and 28 declining.  <\/p>\n<p>NTPC, BPCL, <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/indusind-bank-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-9196.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">IndusInd Bank<\/a>, Dr Reddy&#039;s Labs and Power Grid Corporation closed as the top gainers in the Nifty index. <\/p>\n<p>Titan, Zee Entertainment, Tata Motors and Mahindra &amp;
