{"id":74280,"date":"2018-04-23T18:16:34","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T18:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/collaboration-platform-clausematch-grabs-5m-from-big-name-investors\/"},"modified":"2018-04-23T18:16:34","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T18:16:34","slug":"collaboration-platform-clausematch-grabs-5m-from-big-name-investors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/collaboration-platform-clausematch-grabs-5m-from-big-name-investors\/","title":{"rendered":"Collaboration platform Clausematch grabs $5m from big-name investors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A London-based startup which helps companies comply with mounting regulation has grabbed $5m (\u00a33.6m) of funding from a cohort of big-name investors.<\/p>\n<p>Clausematch operates as a collaboration platform in the regulatory technology or &quot;regtech&quot; space, allowing professionals from a firm&#039;s compliance, legal, finance, operations and risk departments to collectively create and edit documents.<\/p>\n<p>The business, which already serves names such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityam.com\/company\/barclays\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Barclays<\/a> and Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo, also uses machine learning \u2013 a subset of artificial intelligence \u2013 to help automate and standardise the filling-out of documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read more: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityam.com\/274980\/risks-artificial-intelligence-financial-markets-must\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Risks of artificial intelligence on financial markets must be monitored, warns Financial Stability Board<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It had today received funding in a series A round led by Deliveroo backer Index Ventures, which also included contributions from Speedinvest, Talis Capital, former Thomson Reuters chief executive Tom Glocer and ex-Sungard boss Cristobal Conde.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Clausematch is now mandated for all global policies and standards for the Barclays Group,&quot; said Barclays managing director Steven Burman.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;And we&#039;re seeing optimised efficiency, as Clausematch works as one centralised hub to aid accessibility for all staff.
