The NSE Nifty50 index was 0.36 per cent up at 10,459 around the same time. <\/p>\n<p>Shares of <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/jaiprakash-power-ventures-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-1513.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Jaiprakash Power Ventures<\/a> (up 15.15 per cent), Future Consumer (up 12.67 per cent), Waterbase (up 10 per cent), Future Enterprises (up 9.96 per cent), Future Enterprises (up 9.35 per cent), <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/rushil-decor-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-32206.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Rushil Decor<\/a> (up 9.18 per cent) and B L Kashyap &amp; Sons (up 7.25 per cent) were the top gainers in the BSE Smallcap index. <\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, GTL Infrastructure (down 10 per cent), <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/gujarat-nre-coke-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-7531.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Gujarat NRE Coke<\/a> (down 6.73 per cent), M M Forgings (down 5.65 per cent), Ricoh India (down 4.99 per cent), <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/electrosteel-steels-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-32354.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Electrosteel Steels<\/a> (down 4.98 per cent), <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/gitanjali-gems-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-17840.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Gitanjali Gems<\/a> (down 4.98 per cent), Pincon Spirit (down 4.92 per cent) and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/gammon-india-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-13750.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Gammon India<\/a> (down 4.91 per cent) were among the top losers in the smallcap index.  <\/p>\n<p>Positive macroeconomic data and appreciating rupee, coupled with gains in bank, financial and oil stocks lifted Sensex and Nifty up. <\/p>\n<p>Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in red.  <\/p>\n<p>State Bank of India, Wipro and Axis Bank were the top gainers in the Sensex index, each gaining over 2 per cent. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blockads.fivefilters.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/blockads.fivefilters.org\/acceptable.html\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/markets\/stocks\/news\/market-now-smallcaps-mirror-midcaps-outpaces-benchmark-sensex\/articleshow\/63280478.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Original Article<\/a><\/p>\n<p>[contf]<br \/>\n[contfnew]<br \/>\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.etimg.com\/photo\/60278104.cms\"\/><\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ET Markets<\/a><\/h5>\n<p>[contfnewc]<br \/>\n[contfnewc]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: In line with the BSE Midcap index, smallcap index..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":68145,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[202],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-68144","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-finance"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
