It&#039;s great to have you at ETMarkets Evening Podcast.   <\/p>\n<p>I am Swati Verma who will take you through the day&#039;s trading, mixed with views, cues and insights from top market watchers.   <\/p>\n<p>The first day of March <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/derivatives\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">derivatives<\/a> series was one in the green. Investors shrugged off US rate hike buzz after comments from a key US policymaker calmed nerves.   <\/p>\n<p>Market rallied, in line with global equities. The Nifty settled up 1.04 per cent at 10,491, higher by 0.37 per cent for the week. The BSE <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/indices\/sensex_30_companies\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Sensex<\/a> added 323 points, or 0.95 per cent, to finish at 34,142. Its weekly gain stood at 0.39 per cent.   <\/p>\n<p>The rally was driven mostly by pharma and financials. <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tata-steel-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-12902.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tata Steel<\/a> was the topmost mover on the BSE index, climbing 6.26 per cent, followed by Sun Pharma.   <\/p>\n<p>On the Nifty heatmap, 43 scrips rose and 7 lost.   <\/p>\n<p>We have with us Milan Sharma of Rivergate Capital Partners sharing his thoughts on fundamentals.   <\/p>\n<p>Byte 1: Milan Sharma, Rivergate Capital Partners   <\/p>\n<p>Mid-level IT company Mindtree logged the biggest jump in open interest at 62.26 per cent. <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/fortis-healthcare-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-16648.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Fortis Healthcare<\/a> came in second at 62.14 per cent and <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/hexaware-technologies-ltd\/stocks\/companyid-4784.cms\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Hexaware<\/a> was third at 41.06 per cent.   <\/p>\n<p>Anup Chandak of Sharekhan has his take on F&amp;O market.   <\/p>\n<p>Byte 2: Anup Chandak of Sharekhan   <\/p>\n<p>VIX, or the benchmark of volatility, declined again, suggesting return of stability.   <\/p>\n<p>Vaishali Parekh of Prabhudas Lilladher explains the technical signs.   <\/p>\n<p>Byte 3: Vaishali Parekh   <\/p>\n<p>That&#039;s all for now.
