Instagram Stories are a hugely popular feature on the social media platform popular.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instagram Stories is a feature that allow users to post photos and videos that don\u2019t show up in their feed, but instead, lets followers see what they have been doing over the day.<\/p>\n

The slideshow format has a 24 hour lifespan unless you add it as a highlight, and has proven to be extremely popular with users of the photo-based social media platform.<\/p>\n

Keep in mind that you can also save photos and videos from your story or share them to Feed.<\/p>\n

What are the right Instagram Story dimensions?<\/h2>\n

The optimal size for Instagram Story dimension for high quality HD photos and videos is 1080 pixels width x 1920 pixels height.<\/p>\n

This is also an aspect ratio of 9:16.<\/p>\n

Instagram is very strict about the size of your stories and if you upload a photo or video to your Instagram story that does not fit the required dimensions.<\/p>\n

Instagram will crop and sometimes zoom into your photo or video. This can diminish the quality and sometimes this cuts out important visuals.<\/p>\n

However, some people have complained about the uploading time.<\/p>\n

In order to solve this problem, you can keep the 9:16 aspect ratio by sizing to 900px x 1600px or 720px x 1280px for faster loading times.<\/p>\n

If you choose to upload photos and videos using a different aspect ratio, some of the picture will get cropped off.<\/p>\n
