NEW DELHI: Shares of Unitech<\/a>, Nakoda<\/a> and Sundaram Multi Pap<\/a> cracked over 10 per cent on NSE on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Stocks such as, Transwarranty Finance<\/a>, Kirloskar Electric Company<\/a>, Rainbow Papers<\/a> and Pearl Global<\/a> Industries declined over 8 per cent on NSE. <\/p>\n

However, contrary to the bearish market sentiment, shares of SPL Industries<\/a>, DIC India<\/a>, Ortin Laboratories<\/a> and Lycos Internet zoomed up to 20 per cent on NSE. <\/p>\n

Equity benchmarks Nifty50 and Sensex<\/a> closed Wednesday's session in the negative zone, extending the losses for the second consecutive session. <\/p>\n

The Nifty50 index closed 47 points down at 10,193, whereas the BSE Sensex ended Wednesday's session 175 points down at 33,053. <\/p>\n

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation<\/a>, Indian Oil Corporation<\/a>, Kotak Mahindra Bank<\/a>, UltraTech Cement<\/a>, Eicher Motors<\/a>, Tata Consultancy Services<\/a> and Bharti Infratel stood among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index. <\/p>\n

Vedanta<\/a>, Cipla<\/a>, Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance<\/a>, Hindalco Industries<\/a> and State Bank of India<\/a> were among the losers among the Nifty<\/a> stocks. <\/p>\n

As many as 57 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs on NSE, while 18 hit fresh 52-week lows. <\/p>\n

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 16 settled in the green, while 34 in the red on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
