NEW DELHI: Gains in shares of State Bank of India<\/a> (up 1.26 per cent), IDBI Bank<\/a> (up 0.76 per cent), Punjab National Bank<\/a> (up 0.64 per cent), Canara Bank<\/a> (up 0.45 per cent) and Bank of Baroda<\/a> (up 0.15 per cent) boosted Nifty<\/a> PSU Bank index in Monday's trade. <\/p>\n

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.93 per cent up at 3,802 around 11:20 am (IST). <\/p>\n

However, shares of Bank of India<\/a> (down 0.65 per cent), Union Bank of India<\/a> (down 0.29 per cent) and Andhra Bank<\/a> (down 0.16 per cent) were trading in the red around that time. <\/p>\n

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 36 points up at 10,302, while the BSE Sensex<\/a> was 131 points up at 33,381. <\/p>\n

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red. <\/p>\n

Shares of ITC<\/a>, Steel Authority of India (SAIL), State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel<\/a>, Punjab National Bank, Ashok Leyland, Axis Bank<\/a>, DLF, NHPC<\/a>, Vedanta<\/a>, Bank of Baroda and Idea Cellular<\/a> were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange. <\/p>\n

Mahindra & Mahindra, Aurobindo Pharma<\/a>, Eicher Motors<\/a>, Wipro<\/a>, Lupin<\/a> and ITC were among the top gainers in the Nifty50 index. <\/p>\n

However, Adani Ports SEZ, Hindalco<\/a>, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Vedanta, NTPC<\/a> and Cipla<\/a> were among the losers. <\/p>\n
