According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pemex.com\/\">Pemex<\/a>, it has resulted in a shortage of 700,000 barrels of crude oil output thus far.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Octavio Romero, the CEO of the state firm, revealed on Saturday that one employee is still missing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fire broke out early Friday on the company\u2019s Cantarell Field\u2019s Nohoch-A link rig. Later, the fire spread to a compression complex, killing two individuals. The fire has subsequently been extinguished, according to the firm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cToday, 700,000 barrels of losses have been reflected (&#8230;) because we closed practically all the wells in the area,\u201d said Romero via the company\u2019s Twitter account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CEO noted that 600,000 barrels of output were back on track as of Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Search Continues Following Fire<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the firm, rescuers were still seeking\u00a0the\u00a0individual who went missing in Cantarell following the fire. Cantarell is a notable asset that generates around 170,000 barrels of oil a\u00a0day (bpd). It\u2019s around 85 kilometres from Ciudad del Carmen on the Bay of Campeche. Furthermore, it is comprised\u00a0of a succession of fields in the water\u00a0and was once the most prolific worldwide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the past few years, Pemex has seen a series of industrial problems in this extremely prolific\u00a0area.
