{"id":227071,"date":"2022-06-15T12:47:20","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T12:47:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/?p=227071"},"modified":"2022-06-15T12:47:20","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T12:47:20","slug":"inflation-rate-in-qatar-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/inflation-rate-in-qatar-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Inflation rate in Qatar rises by 5.18% in May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Doha, (Business News Report)||<\/strong> The inflation rate in the State of Qatar increased during the month of May by 5.18% compared to the same month last year on an annual basis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Inflation rate in Qatar reached 103.13 points, and increased by 1.34% compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This indicator, which measures the inflation rate, also includes 12 main groups of consumer goods, under which 737 goods and services fall, and is calculated on a 2018 basis according to the results calculated from the data of the Household Income Expenditure Survey 2017-2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjZ8e-FvK_4AhUCRPEDHd1oDQoQFnoECAMQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.psa.gov.qa%2Fen%2FPages%2Fdefault.aspx&amp;usg=AOvVaw1L3dyiuUE8NfJXIS51IvVN\">Planning and Statistics Authority<\/a> explained that the increase in the index on an annual basis is due to the increase in the prices of eight groups, most notably: the entertainment and culture group by 30.79%, followed by the food and beverage group by 5.85%, and the housing, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel group by 5.03%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As well as the group of other goods and services by 3.51%, the transportation group by 1.63%, the furniture and household appliances group by 1.34%, the restaurants and hotels group by 0.58%, and the education group by 0.48%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Annual decreases affected the health group by 3.14%, the communications group by 0.64%, and the clothing and footwear group by 0.22%, while the tobacco group did not record any significant change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The monthly rise in the consumer price index in May 2022 compared to the previous April was the result of an increase in the prices of six groups, namely: the entertainment and culture group by 7.30%, followed by the food and beverage group by 3.30%, and the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel group by 3.30%. 0.49%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As well as the group of restaurants and hotels by 0.33%, and the group of clothes and shoes by 0.11%, and a slight increase in the group of furniture and household appliances by 0.03%.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The monthly decline came in one group, which is the group of other goods and services by 0.79%, while the groups of tobacco, health, transportation, communications, and education did not witness any change compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Doha, (Business News Report)|| The inflation rate in the State of Qatar increased during the month of May by 5.18% compared to the same month last year on an annual basis.
