Riyadh, (Business News Report)|| <\/strong>The King Salman Global Maritime Industries Complex said that it aims and expects to raise $4.6 billion in foreign investments during the coming period.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Al-Ahmari, CEO of the International Maritime Industries company, expected that the King Salman Global Maritime Industries Complex in Ras Al-Khair will attract additional foreign direct investment in the supply chain, worth $4.6 billion.<\/p>\n

Al-Ahmari said that the investments are distributed between the field of steel plates with $2.6 billion, and two billion dollars in the field of casting and forming steel plates and drilling systems.<\/p>\n

The International Maritime Industries company, a joint venture of Saudi Aramco, Bahri, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Britain’s Lamprell, operates the bulk of the giant complex.<\/p>\n

The completion of the complex according to its announced schedule, represents a real challenge facing the company, but Al-Ahmari said, “We have a very clear idea of \u200b\u200bwhat needs to be done, and we have already reached a stage where we have achieved many things regarding the percentages of completion of the giant project, and we have some things in progress at the time. Present”.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the construction work in the complex is proceeding according to the specified schedule, as the infrastructure construction work for this gigantic national complex has been supported by the government of about $3.8 billion.<\/p>\n

Al-Ahmari added, “We employ the latest technologies in the construction work, including artificial intelligence capabilities, vital indicators and the Internet of Things, which gives us an advanced advantage in the era of digital transformation, so that the complex, when completed, will be the largest in the Middle East and North Africa.”<\/p>\n

He pointed to the complex\u2019s contribution to shaping the future of the global marine industries, based on its strategic location and its reliance on the latest digital solutions in the sector to provide advanced and sustainable marine services that include building, maintenance and repair services for commercial ships, including large oil tankers, bulk carriers, and support vessels.<\/p>\n

The complex will contribute to the development of various industries and services in the maritime business sector, taking advantage of the Kingdom’s position as a strategic logistical center, and Ras al-Khair in particular, being an important magnet for companies.<\/p>\n

The main investors in the complex have injected direct investments worth $1.2 billion, distributed between McDermott Corporation<\/a> ($500 million), Lamprell Corporation ($340 million), Hyundai Heavy Industries Corporation ($340 million), and Hyundai Heavy Industries-Engines ($52 million).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
