She noted that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwj58a2B0eb1AhUD_rsIHb9gD-YQFnoECAYQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.worldfutureenergysummit.com%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw3lObZ03A3W6PjpgT6JrL5i\">Energy Summit<\/a> will be held in Washington on February 7.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">She added, &#8220;I have just set up a strategic energy partnership with US President Joe Biden, focusing in particular on liquefied natural gas (LNG).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Earlier, the High\u00a0Representative\u00a0of the\u00a0European Union\u00a0for\u00a0Foreign Affairs\u00a0and\u00a0Security Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, announced that the EU is working, with the United States, Qatar and Azerbaijan on the issue of gas. This is in case Russia decided to reduce gas supplies, against the backdrop of tension over Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The US President and the President of the European Commission announced, in a joint statement, last week, that the United States and the European Union are working to ensure regular supplies of natural gas to Europe, to avoid possible disruptions due to the crisis over Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Earlier, the US State Department spokesperson, Ned Price, said that Washington intends to prevent the launch of the project to transport Russian gas to Germany, &#8220;Northern Stream-2&#8221;, in the event of a &#8220;continuation of escalation&#8221; around Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Although it confirmed the fulfillment of its contractual obligations, it implicitly threatened to stop gas supplies to the old continent.
