{"id":208561,"date":"2021-09-12T13:30:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-12T13:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/?p=208561"},"modified":"2021-09-12T10:30:00","modified_gmt":"2021-09-12T10:30:00","slug":"amman-chamber-of-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/amman-chamber-of-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"Amman Chamber of Industry exports sees a 9% surge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) increased by 9%, compared with the first eight months of 2021 with the same period in 2019, ACI announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The chamber&#8217;s industrial exports stood at JD3.257 billion during the January-August period of 2021, compared to JD2.989 billion for the same period in 2019, ACI statistical data showed, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.<\/p>\n<p>The US, India, Saudi Arabia and Iraq accounted for more than half of the ACI&#8217;s exports during the first eight months of 2021, standing at JD1.914 billion, the chamber said.<\/p>\n<h2>Amman Chamber of Industry<\/h2>\n<p>ACI&#8217;s exports to the US increased during the January-August period of 2021 by 68%, making it the top importer of the chamber&#8217;s exports with a value of JD617 million, compared with JD368 million for the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The chamber&#8217;s exports to India also increased during the past eight months of 2021 by 18%, standing at some JD563 million, compared with JD476 million for the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Exports to the Iraqi market increased slightly during the eight months of 2021 to JD349 million, compared with JD347 million for the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>ACI exports to Saudi Arabia during the January-August period of 2021 dropped by 1% to JD385 million, compared with around JD389 million during the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Exports to Syria during the past eight months of 2021 increased by 16% to JD55 million, compared with JD48 million for the same period in 2019, according to ACI figures.<\/p>\n<p>ACI exports to Turkey also increased during the same period by 36% to JD31 million compared with JD23 million for the same period of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Exports to other countries \u2014 mainly the UAE, Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, Algeria, Sudan, Belgium, Libya, Malaysia and the Netherlands \u2014 increased during the January-August period of 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) increased by 9%, compared with the first eight months of 2021 with the same period in 2019, ACI announced on Saturday.
