{"id":197037,"date":"2021-05-30T19:02:57","date_gmt":"2021-05-30T19:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/?p=197037"},"modified":"2021-05-30T19:02:59","modified_gmt":"2021-05-30T19:02:59","slug":"mubadala-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/mubadala-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Mubadala Fund invests in Europe&#8217;s largest veterinary company"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mubadala Investment Fund announced that it has placed 1.8 billion dirhams in the largest European veterinary care company to invest in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mubadala, which is the sovereign fund in Abu Dhabi, said it is investing in British-based<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjL09Wxi_LwAhVwgf0HHZVlA6kQFjAAegQIAxAD&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fivcevidensia.com%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw1w7qN36kglpG9wYnh_4XNB\"> IVC Evidensia<\/a> which provides veterinary care in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IVC Evidensia operates a network of more than 1,500 veterinary clinics and hospitals in 12 European countries, providing care for more than four million pets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mubadala Investment Fund<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established in 2011, the company operates a decentralized model, supported by a suite of integrated services such as procurement, veterinary consultants and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also reported that private equity firm EQT acquired IVC Evidensia in late 2016, and merged it into Sweden&#8217;s Evidence in May 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IVC Evidensia is also recognized as a leader in setting new standards for clinical excellence and safety for veterinary care teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EQT Private Equity acquired IVC in December 2016, then merged in May 2017 with Evidensia, a Swedish group specialized in providing veterinary services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has since consolidated its position as one of the leading providers of veterinary care services in Europe, through business growth and further strategic acquisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Focus on institutions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Justin Sabet Peyman, Head of Consumer Unit at Mubadala, said: \u201cOur investment in EVC aligns with our focus on investing in institutions operating in the consumer sector and sectors that are characterized by resilience and continued growth\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mubadala&#8217;s investment in EVC Evidence is also a new addition to its growing investments in the consumer sector, through global companies such as Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, Kupang and Turk Hero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a related context, the Abu Dhabi government borrowed again from international markets through its sovereign fund Mubadala, within less than three months of collecting $1.1 billion from the debt markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, a document revealed that the Abu Dhabi government&#8217;s Mubadala Fund, last Thursday, began marketing bonds denominated in US dollars in two tranches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mubadala Investment Fund announced that it has placed 1.8 billion dirhams in the largest European veterinary care company to invest in it.
