{"id":185816,"date":"2021-01-28T07:41:43","date_gmt":"2021-01-28T07:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/?p=185816"},"modified":"2021-01-28T07:41:56","modified_gmt":"2021-01-28T07:41:56","slug":"bank-of-israel-cautiously-optimistic-about-reopening-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/bank-of-israel-cautiously-optimistic-about-reopening-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank of Israel cautiously optimistic about reopening economy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central Bank of Israel governor expressed optimism that the country&#8217;s economy will reopen in the coming months due to the world&#8217;s vaccine campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Health Ministry said about 30% of the Israelis got the vaccine, and &#8220;half of them got a second dose&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set a goal of vaccinating everyone over the age of 16 by the end of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Opening up the economy<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjXj5jmj77uAhW-UhUIHZXKCckQmhMwHHoECBIQAg&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FAmir_Yaron&amp;usg=AOvVaw2v5RlMI4UA0oxNmJ8gTPUT\">Amir Yaron<\/a>, governor of the Bank of Israel, said that these indicators give a light at the tunnel&#8217;s end.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central Bank researchers predicted that production would rise by 6.3% this year under the rapid vaccination scenario. The step in being considered as morbidity and hospitalization rates remain high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Israeli shekel increased 0.1% to 3.2637 per dollar at 11:27 am in Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Billions of shekels<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bank said the last closure cost the Israeli economy from 3 to 3.5 billion shekels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the bank, the closure cost the country between 3 and 3.5 billion shekels per week. The 14-day closure cost Israel between 6 and 7 billion shekels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Finance Ministry said the closure cost between 3.5 and 4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bank the expected cost is somewhat similar to the second closure cost.
