{"id":149647,"date":"2020-05-18T22:40:42","date_gmt":"2020-05-18T22:40:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/uk-massively-expands-coronavirus-testing-eligibility\/"},"modified":"2020-05-18T22:40:42","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T22:40:42","slug":"uk-massively-expands-coronavirus-testing-eligibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/uk-massively-expands-coronavirus-testing-eligibility\/","title":{"rendered":"UK massively expands coronavirus testing eligibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The U.K. is increasing its testing eligibility to include anyone 5 years old and over with coronavirus symptoms, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion comes as the U.K. prepares to roll out a test and trace system, with over 21,000 contact tracers having been recruited in England.<\/p>\n<p>Up to now, the only people who could apply for a test were symptomatic essential workers; those aged 65 or over; those who cant work from home; and people who live with these groups.
