House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said during a committee hearing on Dec. 11 that America cant wait until 2020 to see if President Donald Trump gets beaten by a Democrat.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot rely on an election to solve our problems, when the president threatens the very integrity of that election,\u201d Nadler claimed.<\/p>\n

He was speaking during a tense markup of articles of impeachment against the president.<\/p>\n

Democrats say Trump obstructed the congressional investigation into his alleged use of the presidency to demand a foreign government attack his political rivals.<\/p>\n

Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to \u201clook into\u201d corruption allegations surrounding former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. Trump referenced Biden bragging last year about how he in 2016 threatened to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine unless then-President Petro Poroshenko ousted a prosecutor, Viktor Shokin.<\/p>\n

Shokin was probing Burisma, the employer of Bidens son, Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n

Joe Biden is running for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and Democrat lawmakers say Trump was trying to interfere in the upcoming election.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wanted Ukraine to announce two bogus investigations: one into former Vice President Biden, his leading opponent in the 2020 election; and another to advance a conspiracy theory that Ukraine, not Russia, attacked our elections in 2016,\u201d Nadler said on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
