We cannot treat Mikes democratic competitors differently from him,\u201d Micklethwait wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Republican President Donald Trump, however, would continue to be investigated, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky told the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/11\/26\/bloomberg-news-campaign-finance-concerns\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daily Caller News Foundation<\/a> that the policy \u201craises concerns under federal campaign finance law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem with what Bloomberg has announced is that they are not going to be giving equal coverage to all opposing candidates,\u201d Spakovsky said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheyre only going to be covering one opposing candidate, and thats Donald Trump\u2026 if theyre not willing to do any negative stories that might come up about Mike, whereas they are about Trump, then theyre directly helping his campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/11\/27\/bloomberg-news-1200x937.jpg\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/themes\/eet\/images\/white.png\" \/><figcaption><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2019\/11\/27\/bloomberg-news-1200x937.jpg\" \/><\/figcaption><\/a> Workers inside Bloomberg Tower, headquarters of Bloomberg News, in a 2006 file photograph.
