Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed that Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) would \u201cregret his whole life\u201d after Graham asked for documents related to Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\u201cLindsey, I just\u2014Im just embarrassed by what youre doing, for you. I mean, my Lord,\u201d Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate, told CNN<\/a> when asked what hed say to Graham.<\/p>\n

\u201cLindsey is about to go down in a way that I think hes going to regret his whole life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am disappointed, and quite frankly Im angered, by the fact\u2014he knows me; he knows my son; he knows theres nothing to this. Trump is now essentially holding power over him that even the Ukrainians wouldnt yield to. The Ukrainians would not yield to, quote, investigate Biden\u2014theres nothing to investigate about Biden or his son.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden is a longtime frontrunner in the 2020 field, but has been dogged by his familys dealings with Ukraine and China. Hunter Biden was involved in companies in both countries while his father was in office, leading to conflict of interest concerns that have cropped up during the open impeachment hearings.<\/p>\n

Biden fueled the accusations when he bragged last year<\/a> that he threatened in 2016 to withhold $1 billion from Ukraine unless then-President Petro Poroshenko ousted Viktor Shokin, a prosecutor who was probing Hunter Bidens employer Burisma.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said, youre not getting the billion. Im going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: Im leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, youre not getting the money. Well, son of a [expletive]. He got fired,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n

Shokin has sworn<\/a> that Bidens pressure led to his ouster and told the State Department in January<\/a> that \u201che was removed at the request of Mr. Joseph Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bidens have denied wrongdoing and are among those alleging Shokin was corrupt.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump in July<\/a> asked newly elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who campaigned on reforming the country, to \u201clook into\u201d what happened with the Bidens in the country. The call triggered the impeachment inquiry.<\/p>\n
