Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNearly 25 percent of likely primary voters view him unfavorably\u2014the highest unfavorable rating in the field\u2014while about 31 percent view him favorably,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2019\/11\/10\/michael-bloomberg-2020-poll-068484\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Politico reported.<\/a> \u201cIn contrast, nearly three-quarters of Democratic primary voters view Joe Biden favorably, compared to about 18 percent who hold an unfavorable opinion of him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg, a former mayor of New York City, has not publicly confirmed whether he will run for president. However, there is no clear Democratic front-runner three months ahead of the crucial Iowa caucuses.<\/p>\n<p>The Morning Consult poll was carried out on Friday and surveyed 5,387 registered voters, including 2,225 Democratic primary voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.<\/p>\n<p>Former Vice President Joe Biden, 76, dismissed the suggestion that Bloomberg, 77, poses a threat to him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI welcome him in the race,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABCPolitics\/status\/1192890283517603840\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told reporters in New Hampshire<\/a>. \u201cMichaels a solid guy, and lets see where it goes. I have no problems with him getting into the race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn terms of his running because of me, the last polls I looked at, Im pretty far ahead,\u201d Biden said. \u201cIf Im not mistaken, Im doing pretty well both relative to [President Donald] Trump and relative to all the people running in the Democratic primary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg on Nov. 8 filed paperwork in Alabama to appear on the Alabama Democratic primary next year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-50355758\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His spokesman, Jason Schechter, said that Bloombergs announcement \u201ccould come as early as next week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 7, his adviser, Howard Wolfson <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/howiewolf\/status\/1192574113363218432\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">strongly suggested on Twitter<\/a> that Bloomberg was looking to enter the race.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2018, he spent more than $100 million to help elect Democrats to ensure that Congress began to hold the President accountable.
