{"id":126836,"date":"2019-07-09T22:50:41","date_gmt":"2019-07-09T22:50:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/nabard-to-raise-rs-5000-crore-this-year\/"},"modified":"2019-07-09T22:50:41","modified_gmt":"2019-07-09T22:50:41","slug":"nabard-to-raise-rs-5000-crore-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/nabard-to-raise-rs-5000-crore-this-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Nabard to raise Rs 5,000 crore this year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mumbai: Agri-lender <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Nabard\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nabard<\/a> plans to raise Rs 55,000 crore from the markets in FY&#039;20 to fund its business and also support governments various agricultural and rural development schemes<\/p>\n<p>We plan to raise Rs 55,000 crore for the market this year\u201d said Nabard chairman, <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Harsh-Kumar-Bhanwala\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harsh Kumar Bhanwala<\/a> in Mumbai on Tuesday. \u201dThis amount will also include allocations made to meet shortfall in government schemes\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to funding various rural development schemes and support the agriculture projects in the recent past, Nabard has also provided funding support to many government projects announced in the budget wherever there has been a shortfall. In the past it has support such shortfalls in the allocations to the Agriculture, Water Resources and the Rural Development ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The agri and rural lender has supported the governments <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Swach-Bharat-Scheme\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Swach Bharat Scheme<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Pradhan-Mantri-Awas-yojana\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pradhan Mantri Awas yojana<\/a> in rural areas and the <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/Pradhan-Mantri-gram-sadak-yojana\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pradhan Mantri gram sadak yojana<\/a> in the past among others.<\/p>\n<p>In its supervisory role of regional rural banks (RRBs), Nabard is preparing a framework for risk-based supervision of regional rural banks.
