{"id":124896,"date":"2019-06-27T19:20:35","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T19:20:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/police-find-nothing-suspicious-on-jet-after-emergency-stansted-landing\/"},"modified":"2019-06-27T19:20:35","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T19:20:35","slug":"police-find-nothing-suspicious-on-jet-after-emergency-stansted-landing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/police-find-nothing-suspicious-on-jet-after-emergency-stansted-landing\/","title":{"rendered":"Police find nothing suspicious on jet after emergency Stansted landing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police have found nothing suspicious on board a passenger jet that made an emergency landing at London Stansted Airport over a bomb threat hoax.<\/p>\n<p>The landing took place just before 10.30am today after two RAF Typhoons escorted the Air India B777 Flight 191 to Stansted.<\/p>\n<p>The bomb threat turned out to be a hoax, with Essex Police confirming this afternoon that \u201cthere is nothing suspicious on board\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The plane remained grounded at the airport, however, with passengers being supported by Stansted staff.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote><p>\nUPDATE at 4pm:<\/p>\n<p>Following investigations on the plane, we have now been able to establish there is nothing suspicious on board.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft has been handed back to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/STN_Airport?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">@STN_Airport<\/a> and the operator.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate the patience and understand of everyone involved. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/l5DPAn7w3G\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/l5DPAn7w3G<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Essex Police (@EssexPoliceUK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EssexPoliceUK\/status\/1144260136954925056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">June 27, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Air-India-jet.png\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The jet had been flying from Mumbai in India to Newark in the US but it made a dramatic diversion to London this morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn Air India Boeing 777 diverted into London Stansted Airport at approximately 10.15am and landied safely with Essex Police in attendance,\u201d a spokesperson said this morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is parked on an isolated stand away from the normal airport operations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur runway has now re-opened and is fully operational.
