{"id":124787,"date":"2019-06-27T03:10:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-27T03:10:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/london-business-confidence-recovers-on-improved-domestic-and-export-sales\/"},"modified":"2019-06-27T03:10:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-27T03:10:30","slug":"london-business-confidence-recovers-on-improved-domestic-and-export-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bnreport.com\/en\/london-business-confidence-recovers-on-improved-domestic-and-export-sales\/","title":{"rendered":"London business confidence recovers on improved domestic and export sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/assets\/uploads\/main-image\/cam_standard_article_main_image\/met-office-predicts-hottest-july-day-ever-in-the-uk-1005576878-5bc4a80cb7bb6.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>London business confidence bounced back in the second quarter (Q2) as domestic and export sales recovered, according to data published today.<\/p>\n<p>A survey from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) showed 20 per cent of businesses reported increased domestic sales in Q2, up from 14 per cent in Q1.<\/p>\n<p>The number of businesses reporting declining domestic sales fell in the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>SImilarly, 21 per cent of exporting London businesses reported sales increases in Q2, with the number reporting declining sales falling.<\/p>\n<p>All business confidence indicators increased during the quarter, and expectations for the wider economy also improved, but still remained gloomy overall.<\/p>\n<p>LCCI chief executive David Frost said: \u201cIt is great news to see Londons businesses bounce back from the discouraging results of the first quarter of the year.
