Nigel Farage was seen visiting the US ambassador's residence in London where President Donald Trump<\/a> is staying during his state visit.<\/p>\n

The Brexit Party<\/a> leader was snapped in the back of a blacked-out car on his way into Winfield House, the US Ambassador's 12.5 acre residence in Regent's Park.<\/p>\n

His visit follows the end of President Trump's official engagements for the day.<\/p>\n

The US President has been in the UK for two days so far on a three-day state visit.<\/p>\n

He has previously spoken positively of Mr Farage, suggesting he should play a role in Brexit negotiations.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, Farage tweeted: "Good meeting with President Trump \u2013 he really believes in Brexit and is loving his trip to London."<\/p>\n

The meeting follows reports that Number 10 was \u201cpaying close attention\u201d to the Presidents itinerary, limiting opportunities for him to meet his Brexiteer \u201cfriends\u201d \u2013 and causing embarrassment to Theresa May<\/a> and the Queen.<\/p>\n

But a Downing Street spokesman said on Friday night: \u201cWho the President meets during his visit is of course a matter for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week a source close to Mr Farage<\/a> refused to reveal whether he had been invited.<\/p>\n

He said the Brexit Party leader \u201cisnt the kind of person to speak about it beforehand. It would be rude."<\/p>\n

Asked if he planned to meet Farage and Boris Johnson ahead of this week's trip, Donald Trump said: \u201cWell, I may. Nigel Farage is a friend of mine, Boris is a friend of mine.<\/p>\n
