This has been as much the case with styling as it has with mechanical engineering and it looks like that independent streak is going to continue.<\/p>\n<p>In a report published on Wednesday by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/confidential\/autocar-confidential-each-new-mazda-feature-distinct-styling-audi-launches\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Autocar UK<\/a>, Mazda&#039;s European design chief, Jo Stenuit, outlined Mazda&#039;s different approach to styling. He said that the company wouldn&#039;t participate in so-called &quot;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matryoshka_doll\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Russian doll<\/a>&quot; styling, where its vehicles look like differently sized versions of one another.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Stenuit says, the cars will share sufficient design detail to mark them as a Mazda, but the vehicles in its lineup will all be uniquely styled. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/reviews\/2018-mazda-mazda6-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mazda6<\/a> won&#039;t share the same lines as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/reviews\/2019-mazda-cx-3-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">CX-3<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/reviews\/2019-mazda-mx-5-miata-review\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Miata<\/a> won&#039;t look at all like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/roadshow\/make\/mazda\/model\/mazda3\/\" rel=\"noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mazda3<\/a>.
