Farage and Johnson – along with the former foreign secretarys dad Stanley – shared a cosy chat at posh restaurant Boisdale of Belgravia in London.

It is one of the capitals most exclusive eateries – with a main course of caviar setting you back almost £70.

Brexits two biggest poster boys reportedly chatted for five minutes before going their separate ways at 10.30pm.

Johnson and Farages chat is sure to set tongues wagging after a week of upheaval in Westminster.

The Prime Minister has managed to survive an open revolt from her MPs – but Brexit fans like Johnson and Farage are still not happy with Ms May.

Sources close to the duo claimed there was no knives out or secret plotting at the meeting – which they described as a chance encounter.

"Boris was dining with his father Stanley when Nigel happened to come into the same restaurant,” a pal said.

They went on: “He knows Stanley from LBC radio so popped over to say hello.

“Both parties then went about their separate evenings.”

Farage and Johnson are both outspoken critics of Mrs May and have been openly dating of her approach to Brexit.

And while the former UKIP leader has been raging on his radio show, BoJo has been uncharacteristically quiet amid the rebellion against the PM.

Boris is known to have attended a crunch meeting of backbench MPs, which ended with Jacob Rees-Mogg beginning a coup against Mrs May.

Letters of no-confidence against the PM continue to mount, but it appears BoJo is keeping his powder dry amid the chaos.

Johnson is still a favourite to takeover from Mrs May as leader, according to bookies, but he has yet to declare a leadership challenge.

Westminister was thrown into mayhem on Wednesday when the PM held a five-hour session of Cabinet in a bid to press on with her plan for Brexit.

Her thrashed out agreement was criticised for keeping Britain too closely entangled with the EU.

Brexit secretary Dominic Raab quit in protest, along with work and pensions secretary Esther McVey.

McVey and Raab were expected to trigger an exodus of ministers, but yesterday Mrs May secured support from her Cabinet.

Brexit supporters Michael Gove, Liam Fox, Andrea Leadsom, Penny Mordaunt and Chris Grayling agreed to stay – saving Mrs May.

Reports are already swirling however, the five will attempt to pushing the PM to change her Brexit deal.

Mrs May still faces a vote of no-confidence however, with the Tory rebels expected to have reached the required 48 letters to ruling 1922 Committee
